The project “Innovative & Colaborative solution for post-video audio-production using artificial intelligence mechanisms” is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and State budget funds through the Operational Program competitiveness 2014-2020, priority axis 2-information and Communication Technology (ICT) for the competitive digital economy. The total value of the financing contract is 12.969.972,66 lei out of which 8.406.988,13 lei the amount of the non-reimbursable aid.
The general objective of the project is to diversify the services and increase the productivity of S.C. Compania de Sunet by developing an innovative & collaborative solution for high resolution audio-video post production using artificial intelligence mechanisms.
The specific objectives of the project are:
– Increase of investments in it&C by providing S.C. Compania de Sunet with the tangible assets necessary to achieve the proposed innovative solution as well as the innovative platform the Ant Nest
– To carry out some industrial research in order to identify and quantify the performance indicators (KPI) that can be used in setting some standards efficiency in the high-resolution audio-video post-production industry
– Conduct industrial research to include identified performance indicators (KPI) as well as artificial intelligence and automatic learning elements in the software management platform of audio-video post-production projects development and validation of the software platform for planning and optimization resources as well as for the management of audio-visual post-production projects.
The proposed project aims to create a software platform to support the improvement of existing services and the development of new services for markets related to the one in which we operate;
The result will help increase the contribution of the ICT sector to economic competitiveness.
The project shall run for a period of 24 months from 30.07.2020 to 30.07.2022
The S.C. Compania de Sunet S.r.l. wants to prepare its offer of services in order to be able to serve the audio-video post-production needs of the players in the VOD industry that have accelerated penetration of international markets (including Romania). These players, e.g. Netflix, Disney, Amazon, HBO, Hulu, etc. are constantly looking for partners that are up to their standard, both in terms of digital infrastructure and in terms of process, resource and information security management.
The audio-visual sector, like the entire creative media industry (including the press and the publishing sector), is in full swing driven by technological developments and the switch to online.
So classic TV, classic cinema and DVD are replaced by online streaming. Also the quality of the available video content (resolution) follows a fast upward trend: If a decade ago, we were talking about the possible switch from SD resolution (Standard definition: 480i or 576i) to HD (High definition: 1920×1080) today the video streaming 4k (4096×2160) becomes standard for Netflix.
Companies operating in the post-production field (both globally and especially in Romania) face technological challenges due to the exponential increase in the volume of data to be handled/processed with the switch to 4k and 8k standards all problems are interconnected, requiring a compact solution for resolution.
